Hi,
I have a Huawei broadband modem with celcom 3G Sim card that I pay monthly for RM68.00-RM70.00, something like that. I am using this for almost a year, but haven't met problems like this few day. I wonder why the modem keeps on disconnecting the reconnect again. after several minutes it will disconnect and again reconnect. Continuously day whole day and night 24 hours a day. Its sometimes getting me almost out of control. This happen may be 3 or 4 days to this day. I have check all of the possibility that made the modem to disconnect itself. I check on the My Computer System properties-Hardware- device manager. I looked up the driver of the modem in it and double click on the driver to open the power management console, I had unchecked the check box stating "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Ive unchecked all of the related driver for the modem including the USB root Hub. But all of these are to no effect.
My laptop is Acer Intel Celeron 4310 with OS win SP3 32bit. I had seek support from the Internet though search engine, but I didn't found the suitable answer.

have you tried it with another computer? from there you can distinguish your problem. sounds like a normal scenario during a peak hour. but yours happen all the time

and i would suggest you to connect through a windows dialer. other option would be buy a 3g router that supports usb modem. this might sound irrelevant to spend money on something that you might not need. but from my experience using a router for a 3g connection is the best way to have 24 hour stable connection. it will auto reconnect and make sure you have an active connection

and you might enjoy a wireless connection for your other devices too. tablets and mobile phones etc
