try this, open your visual studio

Tools → Options → Database Tools → Data Connections and change the SQL Server Instance Name from whatever it was. By default it was "SQLEXPRESS"

and change it to "SQL2008" (without the quotes)

i did it..
but now the Error is "Connection to SQL Server files(.mdf) require SQL Server Express2005 to function properly. please verify the installation of component."

if you check on your task manager. which sql server is running? sqlexpress.exe??

Location of DB


go to MDECBankATM where all cs files are present
create folder ATM_DATA
then paste the MDECBank.mdf there.

and change the path in the file

C:\\Users\\Izzatz\\Desktop\\MDECBank.mdf
with
|DataDirectory|\ATM_DATA\MDECBank.mdf



i used this path in another program and works properly. but in it database version problem. i have installed 2008 new version of VS and SQL too.

allrite thanks junaid.kiyani. i dunno what cause the problem. i've been using it fine. maybe i didn't started with vs2005. i straight away use vs 2008. now im using vs 2010, and it still working fine
